With the internet going nuts about “Baby Yoda” (that’s not his name, the character’s name will be revealed in the future) in The Mandalorian, it turns out we might be seeing a lot more of the little guy.
In an article on The Wrap, Rian Johnson said he visited the set of The Mandalorian a month ago, when they were preparing for season two, and that’s when he saw the character for the first time:
“I visited the set of ‘The Mandalorian’ a month ago, and I spotted Baby Yoda in the corner and the producer shot me a look as if to say, ‘you can’t say a word!’ I’ve been holding that secret in my heart for forever now. And the memes are amazing. I’m very pro-Baby Yoda.”
It’s always possible that they just had the puppet sitting around and it wasn’t being used for season two, but if that’s not the case; he might of spoiled that we’ll still see the fan favorite character in the second season that’s filming right now.
Also, it’s pretty interesting that Rian Johnson is hanging around the sets of current Star Wars productions when the prevalent internet narrative is that he’s “fired” from the franchise…
