Recently Disney CEO Bob Chapek said that the second season of The Mandalorian will arrive on time this October, but now we have the same confirmation from the show’s creator.
Today Jon Favreau appeared on a Zoom call with the other Mandalorian directors for the ATX Television Festival, and confirmed that it’ll arrive on time:
“We were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lockdown. Thanks to how technology-forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we’ve been able to do all of our visual effects and editing and all of the post-production remotely through systems that had been set up by those companies for us. So we’ve been very efficient in that sense, so it will be available as planned in October on Disney+.
That should be good news for some people who were worried that the season would’ve been delayed or those who were starting to spread rumors that Disney was going to be splitting their Marvel and Star Wars seasons in half this year just to get some content on the streaming service.
